How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Last updated: September 25, 2026
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how SleepingFire (“SleepingFire,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit this website, sign up for a free trial, or use the SleepingFire application (together, the “Service”). It applies to visitors, trial users, and paying subscribers (“you”).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
Account details — your name, email address, and password when you sign up.
Store and business details — business name, address, tax rate, receipt preferences, and the product, customer, and sales records you enter into the Service.
Payment details — when you start a trial or subscribe, your card is collected and processed by our payment processor, DodoPayments. SleepingFire does not receive or store your full card number.
Communications — anything you send us for support, such as emails to [email protected].
Information collected automatically
Usage data — pages visited, features used, and general interaction with the Service, collected to keep it reliable and to understand what merchants actually use.
Device and log data — IP address, browser type, and device information.
Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences (like light or dark mode), and measure the effectiveness of our advertising, including ads run on Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
3. How we use information
To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including billing and customer support.
To send trial, billing, and low-stock notifications you’ve enabled.
To measure and improve our advertising, including attributing signups to specific ad campaigns.
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
To comply with legal obligations, including tax and financial record-keeping.
4. How we share information
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with:
DodoPayments, our merchant of record and payment processor, to process your subscription and trial billing.
Service providers who host our infrastructure, send email, or provide analytics, under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing that service to us.
Advertising platforms (such as Meta) for conversion measurement, in aggregated or hashed form where possible.
Law enforcement or other parties when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SleepingFire, our users, or others.
A successor entity, if SleepingFire is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Your choices and rights
You can access, update, or delete most account and store information directly from your SleepingFire settings. You can also email [email protected] to request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise these rights by emailing [email protected]. Residents of other US states with similar privacy laws may have comparable rights — contact us and we’ll honor applicable requests.
6. Data retention
We keep account and store data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after cancellation to allow you to reactivate, meet our legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
7. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or through the Service. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
